Abstract

Written by a vertebrate pest management specialist and a physician, this guide offers information on rattlesnake biology, habitat, control, and trapping, as well as avoidance and basic first aid information for dealing with snakebites. Rattlesnakes rarely attact humans unless startled. Even then they may not inject much venom. Wear high boots when hiking and watch where you put your hand or foot when climbing around rocks in the summer. Even newly hatched rattlers come with venom. 4 pages.
