Abstract
Waterlogged or wet sites as they are sometimes called have been actively investigated over the past thirty years along the Northwest Coast of North America. Though the most extensively investigated wet sites have been on the Central Coast, initial and recent explorations on the North Coast show many intriguing findings.¹ Also, Central Coast wet site investigations involving prehistoric wood and fiber artifact styles and functions provide interesting comparisons with ethnographic North Coast wood and fiber artifacts (Croes 1997).
