Populating license records is a huge job. This workshop will help those preparing to start a licensing project or who have gotten stalled. The target audience is beginning-intermediate but experienced users gladly welcome to present other points of view and ideas. The objective of this workshop is to provide examples of license records developed at Oregon Health & Science University Library and Washington State University Libraries that can be modified to local library conditions. Topics will include general licensing information such as location of terms of use on licenses, publisherà à à à à ¢ s websites, subscription agent info, etc and storage of license documents on eRes. Definition of a few resources record fields and all license record fixed and variable fields possibilities will be reviewed. Examples of templates for signed licenses, open access and terms of use journals will be distributed and workflow issues discussed. Screen shots of licensing terms displayed from Innovative OPAC will be shown. This presentation was given at the Northwest Innovative User's Group, 15th Annual Users Group Conference, on September 10-11, 2009, in Salem, Oregon.
