EVLG European Veterinary Libraries Group European Association for Health Information and Libraries Library cooperation
A discussion was started about the future of cooperation between veterinary medical libraries and information services in Europe at the General Assembly of the European Veterinary Libraries Group (EVLG) at the EAHIL (European Association for Health Information and Libraries) conference in Koln 2002. It was decided to look at ways forward for the EVLG, including turning the organization into a "virtual organization" alongside the further developments of EAHIL in a similar direction. We would like to revive the discussion that followed on the EVLG-list with a poster. The poster expresses some ideas of how we could activate ourselves. The main aim is, however, to inspire all the 4th ICAHIS conference delegates to give their views on how to achieve increased publicity and awareness of the existence of this cooperation and the cooperation worldwide, how to better involve ourselves in this work, how to better disseminate information and share concrete and useful achievements etc. The ideas will be collected at the poster and discussed during the Meeting about the future of EVLG.
