Abstract
This research explores the way businesses operate within the nuclear industry and if these operations can be considered socially responsible. Socially responsible operations would be profitable as well as reach beyond the bare minimum requirements of the law. Socially responsible business operations would take into consideration the environment, public health, and general worker safety amongst several other areas. Theoretically, if a company were operating in a socially responsible manner accidents and issues would be less likely to occur since risk would be reduced.
