Abstract
This honors thesis presents a brief review of the existing literature on the economic drivers and trends related to obesity rates and the existing literature on the avenues through which culture can affect individual consumption habits..This literature review is followed by an analysis of the areas in which economics and culture overlap in their relationships to obesity.
