Abstract
The goal of this study was to determine whether different subgroups of children with developmental apraxia of speech (DAS), with and without receptive language impairment, were evident and provide descriptive data on the degree of receptive language delays. Subjects were first tested to determine the presence of DAS, and then to examine receptive language skills. Three of the four subjects demonstrated significant receptive language deficits, which seems to indicate that there are, in fact, subgroups of DAS. However, these results may be misrepresentative due to the small number of subjects tested.
