Abstract
This session will describe grant-funded conservation work underway to treat damaged books printed before 1800 held in the department of Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC). By utilizing modern conservation techniques and reversible treatments, this project seeks to repair the damage to more than 100 books. These volumes will be preserved for the students, teachers, and citizens of Washington State for future generations without causing further damage.
