Abstract
Results: Of the 250 patients studied, the most important category for hospital competitiveness is medical service with 0.2564(weighted value). Afterwards, healthcare cost is fairly important with 0.2498 and reputation and awareness 0.1778. Lastly, hospital location (0.1652) is a relatively insignificant part. Also, Suwon public hospital has the highest competitiveness remarkably in medical fee (0.0559), waiting time (0.023), rapidity of treatment (0.0228) and consulting time (0.019) based on patients satisfaction among four hospitals. Furthermore, the final regression model is significant with F-value of 95.66(p <0.001) and can explain 60.9 %(R^2= 0.6097) of the variation in the dependent variable as it is indicated by the R-Square. The nested model F-test suggests that waiting time, medical cost and consulting time have significant effect on the dependent variable. Conclusion: This study suggests that medical service and cost relevant factors are vital part of constructing competitive power in public hospital in Suwon city. In addition, patients have high level of satisfaction of waiting time toward public hospital. To improve usage with patient satisfaction, management of public hospital should have an expansive review of the efficiency of waiting time, medical cost and consulting time, the key factors
