Abstract
What does it mean to know a place? I walk and I gather. When I walk, I am using my body to know a place. I physically slow down, and the terrain is reflected in my movements and effort. When I gather, I connect to a place through bits and fragments. These objects tell me stories of a place's past, but they are also reminders of my own story and my passage through a place.
