Abstract
Finding connections between the slow, repetitive, and rhythmic processes of printmaking, natural dyeing, and weaving, Dipped, Pressed, and Woven explores how the working methods and formal characteristics of each medium can inform and translate to the others. With the intention to soften the boundaries and foster conversations between these mediums, this body of work offers a collection of printed works on paper, woven textiles, and works that lie somewhere in-between. Viewers are invited to look slowly, with care and curiosity, to visually dissect layered patterns of color and texture, and to witness the dialogue that unfolds among the works.
