Abstract
"Enacting Creation" tells the story of a pig and a woman and their role in the creation and stabilization of the universe. With themes of consumption and sacrifice, "Enacting Creation" not only talks about forms of storytelling and mythology, but also of morals and industrial farming. Various myths and their histories greatly informed my artwork and process during the creation of "Enacting Creation." It is also influenced heavily from growing up in Iowa, among a farming community and thinking of all the issues surrounding those people.
