Abstract
This thesis discusses the work in the Master of Fine Arts exhibition, on display from April 4th to May 7th, 2016, at the Museum of Art at Washington State University. The work consists of five oil paintings and one ceramic piece, which is displayed with an assortment of fabrics. Through the appropriation of western paintings of the nude woman and integrating it with the style of shoujo, this work explores my interest in shifting the notion of power towards a feminine queer perspective.
