Abstract
Inherent in paradise is a sense of longing and unattainability. My work explores this notion of paradise while revealing its impossibility. Through my perversion of the mass-produced products I use to create my work, I critique consumerism and its devising of paradise as a concept. In these works, I consider how longing, desire and memory lay groundwork for representations of paradise through consumer culture.
