Abstract
The Puzzle Project is a pedagogical tool designed to promote reading, critical thinking and creative writing. This computer program attempts to exemplify how teachers can expand their pedagogical practices by employing technology beyond the conventional approach (using it only to communicate and integrate information). The software presents an interactive experience that enables creativity and helps to teach Literature to a more technologically-oriented audience. To achieve these goals, the software utilizes storytelling, puzzle-solving and reading inside a three-dimensional and visually stimulating environment specifically conceived for this purpose. The users of the program engage in reading and critical thinking by exploring, writing, solving puzzles and learning the story of the environment they are experiencing.
