Abstract
The goal of this paper is to derive a formula for the micro motions of a simplified model of an object swimming by itself in a 2-D Stokes fluid. Mathematics-wise, the model equations are described by a nonlinear coupled hybrid system of fluid equations and integro–differential equations. We view this swimming motion as one governed by multiplicative controls. Such problems are of interest in biological and engineering applications dealing with propulsion systems in fluids.
