Abstract
The transmission of dislocations through a pure tilt wall leaves a disconnection at the wall which has both step character and dislocation character. The relaxed configurations of the resulting high-energy dislocation structures are proposed and their long-range stress fields are studied both from a discrete dislocation perspective and also by representing them as equivalent disclination dipoles.
