Abstract
The research progress of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) were reviewed with 26 references in blending with other rubbers and modification with inorganic nanoparticles. Blending with other rubbers, EPDM was given different characters, such as excellent mechanical properties, bonding properties, heat aging resistance, resistance to chemical reagents, dielectric properties and processing properties. Modified by inorganic nanoparticles, EPDM not only had good overall performance, but also possessed lower relative density, higher oil extending and filler filling properties, better compatibility with other polymers.
