Abstract
We focused on insecticides in this study because they represent a larger threat to biological communities and the environment than fungicides and herbicides. We chose to assess the impacts of insecticides on an aquatic species, the Cladoceran Daphnia pulex. This animal is widely studied and is commonly used as an indicator species for environmental contaminants.
