Abstract

Educational Planning or Policy Immigration
Services available to migrants in California are listed in this directory. Migrant programs which existed in the first part of 1973 are identified by county. Community Action Agencies and labor camps in the state (with the exception of those labor camps operated under the state Migrant Family Housing Centers program) are included. Information for each county includes the total population, estimated migrant population, migrant labor demand, estimated migrant wages, names of crops, work periods, and migrant programs. Briefly described in the appendix are the methodology used for the survey of California's migrant programs; Title III-B migrant programs; College Assistance Migrant Program; High School Equivalency Program; Title I Migrant Education; migrant health services; and migrant family housing centers.
