Abstract
Modesto, CA - Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) today announced a federal Department of Education Investment of $443,308 to allow the Central Valley Opportunity Center (CVOC) to provide farmworkers with High School Equivalency Diplomas (HSEDs). This is the first annual installment of a five-year grant through the Department's High School Equivalency Program. The CVOC will provide 100 commuter farmworkers with the education necessary to earn an HSED each year.
