Abstract

This figure portrays an integrated model of the Media Literacy Theory of Change and the Message Interpretation Process Model, thereby explaining how people progress along the steps involved in critical thinking about sources and content of media messages to make decisions about what is real, what is important and what behaviors to adopt, applying emotion and logic to assess the meaning of media messages they encounter.
