Abstract
This presentation discusses the state of the Bears Ears National Monument after President Trump reduced its size in 2017. It also discuss the provisions of the 1906 Antiquities Act that allowed President Obama to designate the Bears Ears Monument in 2016 at the end of his last term as President. Also discussed is the emerging power of the tribal coalition that has now been successful in getting the size of the Monument restored by President Biden.
