Abstract

A relative newcomer to the Pacific Northwest, the apple ermine moth (Yponomeuta malinellus) feeds exclusively on apple. It can defoliate a tree by June and damage long-term productivity. Bulletin explains biology, life cycle, and control measures, including destroying caterpillar tents. Color photographs highlight stages. NOTE: Check the label before using any chemical agents. 2 pages.
