Abstract
Archaeological site reconnaissance and documentation efforts were carried out in southern Utah's Woodenshoe Canyon and middle Dark Canyon to record several previously identified sites and monitor a number of previously recorded sites. Results included full field recording of two notable aceramic sites, initial documentation of 28 other site features, monitoring of 11 previously recorded sites, and location of two historic stock herding features. The newly located features included five lithic procurement locations, 12 small open hearths or campsites, five sheltered granaries, and two high alcove Pueblo II/III habitation sites.
