Abstract
Pat Barker and Steve Shoun were co-elected Columbia County Conservation Farmer of the Year in 1998 for their innovative work with cost-reducing direct seeding in southeastern Washington. Presents their winter wheat/spring cereal/peas crop rotations. Covers their current system, equipment, future projections, and some real-world suggestions. Photographs, data tables, and methods are presented simply and clearly. 8 pages.
