Abstract
Bedding plants account for 26% of total gross sales for the plant industry in Washington State. Bedding plants include annual and perennial plant species that provide seasonal color in landscapes and hanging baskets. Lists of popular garden plants are given, along with a guide to dealing with pest and disease problems. Cultural, biological, and chemical controls where applicable are listed. grows 53% of the U.S. apple supply with 66% of the apples grown for fresh consumption. Growing conditions, culture and common pest problems are discussed and illustrated in color. Control measures are given where applicable. 13 pages.
