Abstract

Discovery of feral or wild babysbreath by the dried floral industry has complicated control of diffuse knapweed on rangelands in the Pacific Northwest. Researchers describe the problem and the results of their field trials. Temperature and rainfall are major factors in controlling diffuse knapweed where it grows with the highly marketable flowers. Herbicides listed were legal in Washington State at the time of publication. 4 pages.
