A Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) is a designated individual contracted by a federal agency to reduce energy and resource costs. The Federal Energy Management Program has worked with the Washington State University Extension Energy Program to support and promote REMs at federal agencies. The purpose of this assessment of federal REMs is to provide guidance on where future REM support efforts should be focused and on how the success of these efforts can be measured.
