Abstract

Fertilization, along with thinning and pruning, can increase quality and quantity of wood grown in a normal conifer rotation. Well-nourished trees are crucial to the health of forest ecosystems. Stands are evaluated for fertilization by geographic subregions, habitat type series, and soil rock type. 20 pages.
