Abstract
A dense, evergreen, spiny legume shrub, gorse resembles Scotch broom. It forms thickets so dense it makes land almost useless. Photos of plants, yellow flowers, and spinelike leaves aid in identification. Biological control, grazing, burning, and use of herbicide sprays are discussed. 4 pages.
