Abstract
Storage of animal manure can have either positive or negative effects on the environment. Improved animal manure storage reduces the risk of groundwater contamination. This guide discusses important factors in both long-term and short-term manure storage, as well as storage location, land application of manure, and treatment of abandoned storage structures. Included is a list of contacts and of references for further reading. 8 pages.
