Abstract

Gardening--Washington (State), Western. Microclimatology--Washington (State), Western.
Understanding how climate affects your growing conditions is essential to successful gardening. Throughout western Washington, however, varied topography gives rise to a large number of microclimates--small-scale areas where local conditions may differ from those of the surrounding climate zone. This publication explains climate, microclimates, and growing zones so gardeners can assess and navigate their own growing conditions in order to be more successful gardeners.
