Hügelkultur is a German term meaning hillock or mound cultivation. It is a method of building garden and landscape beds using woody material, garden debris, and soil arranged in long, tunnel-shaped mounds. This publication describes the methods, history, and pros and cons of Hu?gelkultur in the home garden.
