Abstract

maize legume intercrop
Report on a 1-year on-farm trial testing the feasibility of intercropping forage legumes in maize, using two different maize row patterns. The legumes would add nitrogen to the system as well as potentially provide some high quality forage over winter for livestock which are used in the spring for field preparation.
