Bill Jepsen has been growing continuous spring wheat, spring barley, and occasionally spring mustard on 3,000 acres west of Heppner, Oregon. Jepsen includes a number of trial plots to test alternative crops in cooperation with Oregon State University Extension Service. Bill and his wife, Nancy, have received the 1999 Morrow County Conservation Farm of the Year award and the 1999 Oregon Wheat Growers League Environmental Stewardship Award. 8 pages.
