Jointed goatgrass, Aegilops cylindrica, severely reduces U.S. winter wheat yields and increases dockage in marketed grain across the midwestern and western states. Jointed goatgrass seeds can persist in the soil for many years. To minimize economic losses from jointed goatgrass requires that producers adopt an integrated approach, introducing management strategies and maintaining profitable crop rotations. This bulletin includes contacts in 11 states participating in this project. The series is developed by the National Jointed Goatgrass Research Program through a special grant from CSREES. 8 pages.
