This publication discusses both aerobic and anaerobic lagoons, lagoon systems, inlets and outlets, shape, location, and planning. Includes pointers in lagoon design, construction and management, sludge management, lagoon agitation, and runoff storage. Also includes a design example, diagrams, and tables for determining lagoon water volume, as well as manure production volume for dairy and beef cattle, hogs, broilers, and laying hens. 8 pages.
