Abstract

Spider mites are serious pests in both yard and houseplants. They typically produce chlorosis [yellowing of leaves] in plants, thus reducing growth and often killing the plant. Pesticides often kill mites' predators, causing a secondary population explosion. Discusses prevention, biological, and chemical control. Full color photographs. Note: The law requires that pesticides be used as the label directs. 4 pages.
