Abstract
Knotweeds are aggressive noxious weeds that invade and degrade streams and riverbanks, causing erosion, bank collapse, and disruption of local ecosystems. They are typically found growing along waterways. These perennial plants can also negatively impact native plants and salmon-spawning habitat, as well as birds and other wildlife. This publication provides information on identification and management of these noxious weeds and lists resources for readers who wish to learn more on this topic.
