Abstract
This invasive wetland perennial produces purple-magenta blooms from late June to September. It flourishes in river and irrigation systems in the Northwest, where it can crowd out native vegetation. Photos of seedling, flowers, and showy riverbank displays aid in identification. Biology and cultural control are discussed. 3 pages.
