Abstract

Sapsuckers--Washington (State) Trees--Diseases and pests--Washington (State)
A common cause of tree damage in yards and small woodlands is sapsuckers (Sphyrapicus spp.), which are a species of woodpecker. Sapsucker damage is easy to identify, although it is often mistaken for insect damage. This publication discusses the signs of sapsucker damage and ways to control this damage.
