Abstract

This perennial member of the lily family was introduced from Europe as a food spice. When livestock eat this plant, their poultry, meat, milk, or egg products have a garlic taste. Bread made from infested wheat also has a garlic taste. Precise identification of this quick spreading, hardy weed, as well as biological, mechanical, and chemical controls are discussed. 2 pages.
