Expertise

Dr. Jeffrey Wall specializes in advancing ethnoecological methods and theories which bring the environmental values of distinct cultures and traditions into meaningful conversation with each other. He has partnered with communities in their efforts to care for threatened culturally significant landscapes in numerous countries in the Near East, Central Asia and North America. His current work delves into new and necessary explanatory theaters for global rural exodus including place alienation, global weirding, in-place diaspora and slow-onset ecological change.
